Annual Kickball Tournament
Every Fall semester, the Gamma Alpha chapter hosts an annual kickball tournament with 100% of proceeds to benefit our national philanthropy, Prevent Child Abuse America. PCAA works to promote the healthy development of children and prevent child abuse before it can occur in order to help children to grow up and contribute in their communities.
The tournament is held every October, otherwise known as Child Abuse Prevention month. We invite members from other sororities, fraternities, and the Binghamton University community to enjoy a day of competitive camaraderie to help and care our children all over the country.

"Light Up a Life" Chanukah Toy Drive
Every holiday season, the Gamma Alpha chapter teams up with Sigma Alpha Epsilon Binghamton and Chabad at Binghamton to create Chanukah light for children by raising money for Chai Lifeline's Toy Drive. From tabling in the Union to hosting various events in the Binghamton community, we have been able to spread holiday cheer to many children.
We are proud to announce that defying all odds and beating the organizer's totally outrageous goal, 2015's Toy Drive raised over $16,000 worth of toys to be distributed to children with cancer in NY area hospitals through Chai Lifeline.
Pinweels for Prevention
PCAA has introduced the pinwheel as the national symbol for child abuse and neglect prevention. It represents PCAAs mission to raise awareness and incite hope to people involved in the effort to prevent the neglect and abuse of our nation’s youth. PCAA has sponsored pinwheel events in large metropolitan areas, city parks, and in local neighborhood communities.
A “garden of pinwheels” makes a strong statement on campus lawns across the country.
Our chapter has raised hundreds of dollars for PCAA through pinwheel sales. Pinwheels are sold for $1.00 each by our chapter around April, Child Abuse Prevention month. You may find our pinwheels along the spine of Binghamton's campus during that time.

OPI Nail Polish Sale
Starting in Fall 2014, SDT collaborated with JWI and OPI to start up the Girls Achieve Grapeness! campaign that empowers the next generation to break the cycle of violence against women. A bottle costs $10, and 100% of the proceeds go to fund JWI's work to end domestic abuse and sexual assault. To learn more about the campaign click HERE.
Interested in purchasing a bottle and supporting a great cause? Feel free to contact us through our Facebook!
If we work together, we can all achieve grapeness!
Fashion for a Cure Fashion Show
We partner with Chabad at Binghamton and friends to present an annual fashion show that benefits Sharsheret, a national not - for - profit organization supporting young Jewish women and their families facing breast cancer. The show also helps raise awareness concerning breast cancer and offers educational tools to the Binghamton University community.
Our sisters participate in many aspects of the fashion show - from running the behind - the - scenes business to strutting down the runway.
In past years, we have been extremely successful in raising thousands of dollars for this organization!
